Union Home Minister Amit Shah met US Ambassador Sergio Gor in New Delhi for high-level talks focused on strengthening India–US security cooperation. Discussions covered counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, border security, and criminal justice, reaffirming commitment to the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.
In a social media post following the meeting, Amit Shah stated that the two leaders held detailed deliberations on further enhancing cooperation between India and the United States in critical security domains, especially in combating terrorism and narcotics trafficking. The discussions underscored the shared commitment of both nations to deepen strategic coordination in addressing transnational security challenges.
The Home Minister highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India remains firmly committed to advancing the India–US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. He further noted that the objective of this engagement is to ensure that citizens of both countries derive tangible benefits from the growing bilateral relationship.
United States Ambassador Sergio Gor stated that the discussions covered strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism, protecting citizens from narcotics and illegal drugs, securing national borders, and ensuring that perpetrators of crime are brought to justice. The exchange reflected a broad alignment between both sides on key security priorities.
